NEW AVT MODULATING VALVE IMPROVES PERFORMANCE
OF SENTRA TEMPERATURE CONTROLLERS
Sentra temperature controllers manufactured after April 1, 2002, will use a new 3rd generation AVT (Advanced Valve Technology) modulating valve to precisely meter in cooling water while eliminating water hammer caused by on/off solenoid style cooling valves used on competitive brands of temperature controllers.
The improvements made in the 3rd generation AVT valve components offer the benefits of better process temperature control, reduced maintenance, greater reliability and longer life. These improvements are the result of constant factory and field testing, as Advantage seeks ways to improve the performance of the Sentra. Better temperature control has a positive affect on user processing cycle times and part quality.

The AVT valve is Advantage's patented modulating valve technology for temperature controllers. Introduced in 1991, there are more than 17,000 AVT valves in service through industry today.
New features include:
• Stainless steel valve body
• Improved drive stem
• O-ring stem seal
• Rigid mounting flange
• One piece coupling
• High temperature ABS drip cover.
The new AVT valve is standard on Sentra temperature controllers that features the LE Series and HE Series microprocessor instruments.
If you have any questions about the application or operation of the new AVT valve, call the Advantage Sales or Service Departments at 317-887-0729.
