MAXIMUM PORTABLE LIQUID CHILLERS
with Propeller Fan or Centrifugal Blower
ADVANTAGE Maximum portable liquid chillers with 15 and 20 tons capacity are available with air flow induced by propeller fans or a centrifugal blower. This page compares the two types.
HOW ARE THEY SIMILAR?
Both the Propeller fan and Centrifugal Blower types are packaged in the same frame. Each unit provides 15 or 20 tons of cooling
capacity. The dimensions of each unit is 96" x 58" x 70" (HxWxD). Other than the mechanism used to generate the air flow through the
condenser, these units use the same refrigerant components and coolant circuit components, including compressor and coolant pump. The air volume each
unit produces is the same at 15,000 CFM. The MK-LE instrument is standard for both units, with optional upgrade to the HE instrument.
HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT?
The propeller fan unit uses a 3HP motor to drive the fan, whereas the bower unit uses 7.5 HP motor to drive the blower. The
propeller fan unit can not be ducted for air distribution or ventilation, where the blower unit can be.
