The PLC Control Instrument is a third party supplied assembly designed for industrial applications where
flexibility and reliability are critical.
The PLC consists of the base and processor with built-in inputs and outputs, a thermocouple module and additional input or output modules as required to control the system along with an operator interface panel.
Both the Operator Interface Panel and PLC Instrument must be individually programmed to operate the chiller and display the desired system information. The operator interface panel and PLC communicate via a simple communication port interface. The PLC can operate the system should the communication link fail.
The Pump Control System is done through the PLC and operator interface panel.
The PLC can be equipped with plant wide Interface Protocols such as TCP/IP Ethernet and Devicenet.
The Memory Module stores PLC program file. When inserted in the PLC hardware, replacement or modified programs are loaded onto the system.
ALTERNATIVE PLC HARDWARE ... Advantage provides Allen Bradley hardware for the standard PLC control option. Other PLC products are available from GE, Omron, PLC Direct, Siemans and others and are available upon specific customer requirements. These alternative products may incur additional programming costs
