CENTRAL CHILLERS
Control Instruments

Expansion Capabilities

MultiZone Operator Interface MULTIZONE INSTRUMENTS ... are expanded to accommodate additional chiller modules by including intelligent zone bards in future APT or WPT chilling modules.

The zone boards are then wired back to the original display with 3 22-gauge wires. The MultiZone Control instrument can control up to 6 different refrigeration systems having nearly any combination of discus, scroll or screw compressors. No prior "planning" is required in order to expand the MultiZone instrument.

PLC Instrument PLC CONTROL INSTRUMENTS ... require additional input, output and thermocouple modules mounted with the original PLC hardware.

4 output wire, 5 input wires and a thermocouple wire are required per zone.

It is important to plan for expansion when initially selecting the PLC hardware to be sure the processor has adequate power, and to be sure the there is adequate space in the primary cabinet.

The control program must be changed or reconfigured when expanding the PLC.
